Species shown – Black-throated Green Warbler (Setophaga virens)

The black-throated green warbler is a fairly common spring and fall migrant in the eastern half of North America.  During migration they may be found in all types of trees.  However, on their breeding grounds in Canada and the northern United States, they strongly prefer coniferous forests.

Taken in Winnetka, IL in early May.  shot with a Canon EOS R7 with a Canon 400mm lens and a 1.4 extender, f/4.0, 1/8000s, ISO1600.
